In the US kids' system, "C" means child sizes and "Y" means youth sizes. UK kids' sizes run up to 13.5 and then continue on the small adult numbers (1, 1.5, 2…), which is why the UK column restarts after 1Y.
How Shoe Size Systems Differ
The US and UK both build sizes on the length of the shoe last in thirds of an inch, but they start counting from different points — which is why UK men's sizes sit half a size below US, and UK women's about two sizes below. The EU (Paris point) system is based on centimeter-scale steps and is shared across Europe. Because brands cut their shoes a little differently, treat every chart — including this one — as a close guide, and check the specific brand's chart before ordering.
